Support & Resistance
Also known as: S/R, Support Levels, Resistance Levels
Price zones where buyers or sellers historically step in. The skeleton of almost every trading setup.
Finding levels
- Horizontal — obvious highs and lows that repeat.
- Diagonal — trendlines, channels.
- Dynamic — moving averages like EMA 50 / 200.
- Psychological — round numbers (20k, 50k, 100k on BTC).
Role reversal (polarity)
Once resistance is broken with conviction, it often becomes support, and vice versa. Retests of broken levels are textbook entry setups.
What makes a level strong
- Multiple touches — the more respects, the stronger.
- High volume at the level — conviction.
- Alignment with higher-timeframe structure.
- Recency — recent levels matter more than ancient ones.
